GRAND HOTEL chili

Story

It all started on one of my trips — in Bulgaria, to be exact.
It was raining that day, and I was heading back to Sofia after spending time on the Black Sea. Visibility on the highway was close to zero. Suddenly, I noticed two small red lights just a few meters ahead of me. I got closer to see what it was — a caravan, driving at about twenty kilometers an hour.

It was a European ivory-colored caravan from the ’70s, a little beat up here and there, but still holding up pretty well.
What immediately caught my eye was a message written across the rear window with black electrical tape:
NO ADDRESS, NO BANK, NO STRESS.

Right then I thought — he’s won.
He’s won at life.
That was it. This had to become a T-shirt.

That message — and that choice of life — perfectly reflects the spirit of Johnny Rapina: being free, free from banks and the system.

For all those who’ve taken or are still taking long road trips on motorcycles, sleeping under their ride with makeshift tarps, tents, or whatever shelter they can find, that caravan… that’s a true Grand Hotel.

A bit like Steve McQueen with a good scrambler leaning on the side and a perfect surfboard strapped to the roof — straight out of Point Break.

Now that’s a real hideout.
